Dildo and Dong Repair

Hard plastic dildos, dong and butt plugs can have deep scratches or chips filed smooth using a nail file, emery board or fine sand paper. If the plastic has cracks all the way through, discard the toy to prevent large chunks or splinters lodging in delicate areas.

Silicone toys sometimes develop small tears, these will develop into large rips eventually, discard the toy. The small tear is a wonderful home for bacteria and is very difficult to clean thoroughly. Do not try to fill in the crack with a silicone sealant or any thing of that nature, it wont stick well and will no doubt fall out in you.

Rubber dildos and dongs, if they show signs of cracking, splitting or perishing discard immediately. Rubber is a natural product and breaks down relatively quickly, especially when exposed to sunlight and oil based lubricants, so keep them in a drawer and only use water based lubricants. Rubber toys should be replaced regularly.
